Job Title: Education Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Education and Artistic Programming

Shine Bright Performing Arts (SBPA) is a theatre company dedicated to enriching the lives of young people through the performing arts. Shine Bright produces youth productions, classes, and workshops, and is the sister company to Westrick Vocal Studio. Teaching Artists will plan and facilitate educational programming at SBPA. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily education programming by opening and closing the facility each day. 

  • Monitor and oversee check in, check out, and parent/guardian communications throughout each day.

  • Assist with student challenges when Teaching Artists need help. 

  • Be a resource on both the facility and the education department for Teaching Artists.

  • Maintain a safe learning environment for students by keeping all entrances and exits secured.  

  • Implement Education Department and SBPA policies and procedures as established.

  • Upholding the SBPA mission statement: Inspire meaningful connection through the wonder of theatre arts.

  • Collect content for social media 

  • Other tasks may be assigned.

Salary and Hours

  • 1099 Contract Position, being hired to support summer camp operations. Camp hours from 8:00-3:00 PM, and extended day from 7:00am-5:30pm. Schedule may vary from week to week.

    • Weekly Contract, camp only: $500

    • Weekly Contract, including extended day: $850

  • The position is based at Shine Bright Performing Arts at 720 Crown Point Cross Road, Winter Garden, FL 34787.

Skills and Expectations

  • Demonstrated experience in facility management. 

  • Demonstrated experience in supervising the daily operations of a camp. 

  • Ability to oversee an environment with students, interns, and adults, and de-escalate difficult situations when necessary. 

  • Excellent communication skills with students, parents, SBPA staff, and teachers.

  • Ability to work both independently or as a part of a team when necessary. 

  • Ability to pass a background check.
